Employment Opportunities

AfterSchool Youth Mentors: As part of our AfterSchool Team, Youth Mentors work with school age children, are responsible for direct supervision, create positive & nurturing relationships with children, while building relationships with parents/families.

Holy Trinity Central Campus
Jasper Elementary School 
Tri-County YMCA
Pine Ridge Elementary

Available Shifts:
We follow the school calendar.
Youth Mentors shifts are school dismissal – 6:00 p.m. (EST)
We do have shifts beginning at 2:30

Childwatch Staff: The Tri-County YMCA is seeking individuals part-time to serve as Childwatch staff. The Childwatch Staff is responsible for providing young children opportunities for holistic development, social experiences, and learning through play and supervised activities. With this position you will see our kids grow, learn, and be a positive influence in their life.

Available shifts: 

  • 8-11 AM EST, Monday - Friday (2 shifts/week)
  • 4:30-7:30 PM EST, Monday - Thursday (2-3 shifts/week)
  • 7:30-11 AM EST, Saturday (1-2 shifts/month)

Part-Time Sports Coordinator:  The Tri-County YMCA serving Dubois, Perry, and Spencer Counties is seeking a part-time staff member to serve as a Sports Coordinator. Candidates should have experience working with kids and families. The right candidate will need to be an energetic, organized, and goal-oriented leader and will be responsible for coordinating, directing, leading, and growing youth, adult, and family programs. Most programs will occur evenings and weekends. The individual will exemplify our YMCA values of Faith, Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in all aspects of the job performance and in building relationships with members, participants, volunteers, staff, and community leaders.

Summer Day Camp Counselors: The Tri-County YMCA is seeking Camp Counselors who will provide direct supervision of a group of children in a seasonal day camp setting. The Camp Counselors will provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on the YMCA Core Values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith. Candidates must be enthusiastic, responsible, enjoy working with children, and have a passion for the YMCA and its mission. Over the summer, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of the kids you work with and develop amazing friendships that will last a lifetime.  Candidates must be 18 years of age and have a strong desire and ability to work with children.

Since our first summer camp in 2005, we have been providing activities during the summer months for children.  YMCA Summer Camp provides children, in grades K-6th (based on the child's fall school year grade) with a safe, fun and healthy environment within a structured full day program. YMCA Day Camps challenge children to grow in imagination, creativity, confidence, self-directed initiative, and leadership.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities for YOU to become involved with your Tri-County YMCA. Please consider what YOU like and call us if we can help YOU get involved.

This FREE service is provided to YMCA members who are exercising. Volunteers are requested for a 3-hour shift 1 or more days each week:

Monday through Saturday 8:00-11:00 a.m. or Monday through Thursday 4:00-8:00 p.m.
