T-Ball (Perry County)

A non-competitive youth program emphasizing the fundamentals of STRETCHING, RUNNING, THROWING, CATCHING, and HITTING while building character through practicing honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and faith.

Ages:
3 to Kindergarten
Program Dates: July - August
Program Days:  Tuesday Evenings (Thursdays will be used in the case of a rain-out on a Tuesday)

Program Times: 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. (Central Time)
Structure: Practices will take place the first three sessions and games will be held the last three sessions
Program Location:
  Dennis Kress Park in Tell City

Soccer Training Sessions

Are you looking to put in a little extra time to improve your game for the upcoming soccer season?  The Tri-County YMCA's soccer training is just the thing for you.  This program is designed to improve your skills with the ball on your feet as well as teaching new ways to think without the ball at your feet.  With both group and individual settings we can find exactly what you need to be working on and improve on it.  Group lessons will have between 6-8 players and individual lessons are one-on-one training.  Both group and individual lessons will meet twice a week for four weeks.  Individual training sessions will be first come, first serve for the first five people. 

Ages: Girls and Boys who will be entering 3rd - 8th grade this fall
Program Dates: July 6th - July 30th 
Program Location: Tri-County YMCA
Program Structure:
Individual Lessons: Meet twice a week for 30 minute sessions on Monday & Wednesday from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. (ET) 
Group Lessons: 
Monday/Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. (ET) or Tuesday/Thursday: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. (ET)
Cost: 
Individual Lessons: 
YMCA Household Membership: $75.00
Non-Facility Member: $100.00

Group Lessons: 
YMCA Household Membership: $50.00

Heimatfest Volleyball Tourney

Gather up your friends and get ready for sand, sun, and fun at the Co-Ed Adult Volleyball Tournament taking place during Ferdinand Heimatfest Celebration on Saturday.

 Program Date: Saturday of Heimatfest Weekend
 Start Time:  9:00 a.m. (ET)
 Cost: $60.00 per team 
 Game Play Format: 6 person with 2 females required per team
 Program Location: 18th Street Park Volleyball Courts

Each match includes two 21-point rally games and third 15-point rally game (if necessary) to determine the winner.

Registration begins at the end of May


Disc Golf Scramble

Come join us on Friday, July 10th for our annual disc golf scramble and have your shot at $5,000! Disc golf is much like traditional golf, the sport uses a disc instead of a ball and clubs. This sport is fun and a great recreational activity that helps to improve health and quality of life. The YMCA wants to invite anyone (beginners to experts) to come and enjoy the fun.  Sign-up by Thursday, July 8th at 5pm or wait to sign-up at check-in time on the 10th.

Program Date: Friday, July 10th 
Start Time: Check in begins at 5:00 p.m. (ET) 
Cost: $30.00 per team and includes 18-holes of disc golf and snacks and refreshments
Game Play Format: 2 person 9 hole scramble (Each person throws and you take the best of the two throws each time).
Program Location: 18th Street Park (Registration Table will be set up by the basketball courts at 18th Street Park).

The YMCA will have discs available to use if needed.  Prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.
